Bio: Born in 1977, John Diggle, better known to his friends as Dig, is a former Master Sargeant in the U.S. Army. During his time in the military, he'd met and fallen in love with fellow soldier Lyla Michaels. They two had married, but then divorced upon their return from Afghanistan, finding their marriage couldn't survive without the war. Afterwards, he'd signed up for a third tour in Afghanistan, while Lyla had joined up with A.R.G.U.S. Following Dig's discharge from the army, his younger brother Andy, whom he'd also served with in Afghanistan, had gotten him a job in the private sector working personal security. Andy was later killed by the assassin known as Deadshot while protecting a client, or so Dig had assumed. Then, in 2012, Dig had been hired by billionaire Moira Queen to protect her son Oliver upon his return home from being stranded on an island for five years. Unfortunately, Oliver kept giving Dig the slip, making Dig look bad. Finally, after saving Dig's life. Oliver had taken Dig into his confidence, revealing himself to be the vigilante known as the Hood. He'd then recruited Dig in his mission to save Starling City
